While an engineer may specify parameters for a hole in a wheel to fit around an axle, the concept of that void is more powerful because of what seems to be omitted.

A design sometimes appears most elegant by what the makers purposefully exclude.

What remains unsaid can be more subtle and nuanced than explicit lyrics or text.

This version of Tao Teh Ching, Chapter 11 was translated during extracurricular philosophy studies as an undergrad.

This has been used numerous times instead of the traditional "Hello, World!" string in various systems programming, as the notions conveyed by the 11th seemed fitting for systems architecture.

(There are other spellings for the name of the original document and of its author, and various people attribute different degrees of authenticity to each. However, this is the version by which I was taught at the time of translation and am leaving it as such for historical consistency.)
